Themes
A theme determines how your WordPress-website looks like. It contains foundation of the layout and styling, like: the menu, footer and fonts, which give it the basis formatting and appearance of your site.
Besides the basics for adding pages and posts, there are also theme-parts which can enchance your sites appearance and help you make it easier to find for visitors. Below you will find an overview:
- Customizer: Here you can adjust specific elements of the site like: name, banner and change the menu position amongst others.
- Template parts: Change parts like Headers, Banner, Footers which appear on multiple places throughout the site.
- Patterns: Add ready made WordPress blocks or special blocks we’ve made according to the Utrecht University’s corporate identity.
- Agenda: Show Events or meetings
UU-Drift
The UU-Drift theme has been created for WordPress sites of Utrecht University.
UU2014
Previously, use was made of the UU2014 theme, recognizable of the grey search bar and red title text.
